In Episode 3 of Coastless, Melissa and Boyce tackle the issue of American work and vacation culture. They talk about a new study from Project: Time Off that shows how Americans use — or don’t use — their vacation time. They discuss how both Missouri and Kansas ranked in the study and some of the contributing factors in American culture that keep people from traveling.
Next, they welcome Mady Johnston and Kim Farrell to the pod. The two women recently quit their jobs to take on an 18–month around–the–world adventure. They’re currently in Vietnam, but Melissa and Boyce caught up with them before they hit the road. They talk about how they prepared for the trip, the reactions they received when they broke the news to their bosses, and how they packed for this epic adventure.
