Peace Corp with Yael Abouhalkah and Beci Bosley

It’s a new season of Coastless and a bit of a disclaimer before we begin. You might have noticed our hiatus. It’s been quite a few months as we’ve tried to put together this season. Since Boyce and Melissa are at least pretending to be responsible adults with full-time jobs, these pods will be a bit more sporadic in the future.

We start this week talking about our travel plans as well as Melissa’s experience on the oldest currently sailing cruise ship, the Astoria.

Then, we’re joined by Yael Abouhalkah and Beci Bosley who just returned from spending two years serving in the Peace Corp in Namibia. We discuss their experience as teachers in the African country as well as what it was like to be part of the Peace Corp. They tell us more about their project building libraries in the schools where they served as well as what it was like to come back home.

You can find Yael on Twitter @YaelTAbouhalkah.

Our graphic is thanks to the fine folks at Mind + Matter.

Our music is Clap Guitar Rock 4 by AudioDragon licensed through Audiojungle.
